Halftime Now

Oh, the things we resist that make life easier for us. Or is it wrong of me to assume? Maybe it’s just me. Something as simple, say, as shifting the way you breathe can make your whole life a lot easier.

For instance, try slowing your breathing rate right down to halftime now.

Doing so, your mind will slow down in proportion, affording you more calm and clarity in the mind. If the mind is like a lake, the turbulence of rushed thinking makes your whole experience choppy and opaque. Slow the breath down, the lake becomes still, the water more clear and you can see more easily to the bottom of things.
