By attending to the hands and forearms, by getting them to relax deeply, it automatically increases your ability to let go psycho-emotionally, usually within an hour or so. You almost don’t notice it, you simply let go more and the effects show up over the next passage of time, whenever faced with the requirement to let go and flow. It’s abstract till it happens, so let’s focus on the practical application of this exercise in the meantime.

What would happen if you were to stop busting your head and let go and trust life instead? What would happen if you were to let it flow rather than trying to make it go?
Would it all unravel into an unholy mess? Or would you be more free of stress and in that freedom more easily able to operate successfully in respect of the task at hand, and so elicit far better results?
Well the only way to find out is to try it.
Firstly pay respect to the brilliance of your intellect. Thank it for being so sharp. Tell it to take care of logistics automatically. Then pay respect to the limitless power of your subconscious. Thank it for its faultless guidance. And tell it you wish to go into full let-go-into-flow mode now. Tell it to connect you with the benign flow. Then take a deep breath and as you breathe out, feel your whole body relax and visualize yourself jumping off a rock into the sea and be carried on the current to somewhere wonderful and mysterious this very weekend.
You’ll have a fabulously surprising time as a result and may get hooked on doing this for the rest of your life, so watch out if you don’t want to have the best possible time of it.
I wish you the best possible time of it today, tonight and right through the weekend.

You’re probably concerned with finding the answers to various questions, some big, some small and most likely feel quite stressed about the whole endeavor at times. But what if there really were no questions? (I realize the paradox of asking that question). And what if there were no answers? Or rather, what if you knew the answer to every question even before you’d asked it?
Well according to the ancient Taoists, that’s the case. What these days, we’d call your subconscious, already knows the answer to every question. Your subconscious is your personal access point to all the information in existence, your plug-in point to cosmic consciousness.
All you have to know, is how to activate it and trigger the flow of information to your conscious mind.
The most straightforward way, without getting all messy, is simply to relax, close your eyes, enter a meditative state and, directing your focus to the center of your brain and a little bit down towards your upper brainstem at the top of your spinal column and ask or command it to give you the answers to all your pressing questions within the next 24 hours.
Then all you have to do is carry on as you were, except exercise a little more mindfulness and sensitivity than normal, so you’re more perceptive to the thoughts streaming from the midbrain into the forebrain, and be alert for signs on passing vans, snatches of passing songs or what-have-you and within 24 hours or so, you will indeed start receiving al the information you need to take your next steps with confidence and success.
I wish you a magnificent expansion of awareness and understanding today.
For a sure technique to help you access the midbrain, see the Members’ Wisdom Drop.
This is powerful, dear Member, so go to it with utmost care – if in doubt, consult your doctor – kidding – can you imagine going to the doctor to ask whether it was advisable to attempt an out of body experience – you’d probably be given antidepressants or antibiotics and sent on your way.
All this week I’m focusing on helping everyone alleviate stress – read this report on stress here if you missed it yesterday – it’s important and will help you. It will also help you understand the significance of this here E.A.S.E. mini-process I have for you.
E.A.S.E. - enjoy alleviating stress effectively
Stage one of the E.A.S.E. mini-process: discovering the crucial balance between stress and its opposite number, ease.
We start with E: enjoying evaluating your present level of stress/ease:

Much of what makes you stress yourself derives originally from taking life and your place in it too personally. Were you able to identify solely with being the internal witness, one who has no body or personality, no status, no stake in the material-physical world at all, you’d not need to stress yourself about anything. You’d be able simply to observe and enjoy the spectacle, perhaps gently guiding the flow by intention but otherwise spending your time exuding compassion for the deluded games of humankind and all the stress they elicit.
One marvelous Taoist technique to enhance this ability to invest in loss, as they put it, is to imagine you’re dead and are only here as a disembodied spirit that no one can see, as if your actual body belongs to someone else altogether.
If you’ve the existential daring to try it, you’ll find within moments, a total radical reframe occurs spontaneously, resetting your perspective and returning your operating system to factory settings, all untainted, fresh and new of view. In turn, this instantly reduces stress levels and stops you worrying so much over the details of the everyday world.
Do remember to return all parts of you back into the present moment once you’re done, mind, as it’s important to be present and correct as much of the time as possible.
I wish you stunning presence today, the clearest perspective and the least stress you’ve ever had.

One of the effects of being in close proximity to millions of people all the time, which is how it is for the majority of the world’s population, is a certain irritability and tendency to go into judgmental, critical mode. And while this may feel justified and sometimes even momentarily fun, it does in fact exclude you from the miraculous flow of life-force flowing through you and society.
By the same token, if you know how to relinquish the irritable, judgmental, critical state, while in the midst of the throng, you afford yourself the facility of eliciting a much more powerful miracle-flow and a vastly more enjoyable day for you and so by extension for those around you.
What’s actually going on here is the Great Presence expressing and manifesting in myriad human forms and the way we each show up to each other is merely that: series of masks covering the face of the divine. Sometimes these masks are ugly and scary. Usually they’re fairly OK and sometimes even beautiful.
But they’re only masks and the actions of others are merely masking actions to disguise the fiat of absolute love emanating from the Presence at all times.
But philosophical, esoteric premises aside, simply by mentally saying hello to the Buddha in everyone you see or meet, has a profoundly transformative effect on your day.
So start without delay, in mentally saying, “You’re the Buddha” (with an emphasis on ‘you’re’), “and you’re the Buddha,” to everyone you see, meet or even think about today.
You won’t regret the miniscule investment and the return will be disproportionately huge.
I wish you a disproportionately huge return this merry Monday.
And if you wish to discover the acupressure points to elicit greater Buddha-mind activity, check the Members’ Wisdom Drop.
Stress is endemic.
We can all agree with that without much time thinking about it.
The chances are you’ll be feeling stressed yourself.
But what does that actually mean? What actually is stress?
Let’s start with what it isn’t.
Contrary to the backward thinking of modern medicine stress is neither an illness or disease.
I’ll repeat that, because it’s important.
Stress is neither an illness or disease.
To the contrary: stress is a sign you’re alive.
I’ll repeat that too, because it’s equally important.
Stress is a sign you’re alive.
Resist to exist.
The force of existence is ferocious. We each only exist because we resist that force, and manage to keep doing so effectively enough to hold our shape for the brief moment in time that constitutes a human lifespan.
When one phenomenon resists another, it places stress on each.
Eventually the stronger of the two will overcome the weaker element – in this case the force of existence eventually overcomes us and off we go.
This is the natural order of things.
In mundane day-to-day terms we require tension in order to feel release. Without these dynamics life would be ineffably dull and no growth or progress would occur.
But that’s hypothetical anyway because we will always feel that intrinsic tension from resisting (to keep existing).
The modern problem of stress arises from us losing the ancient art of ease, ironically by our collective rush to create and subsume the very technology that was meant to make life easier for us. In many ways it does of course, but at great cost to ourselves – indeed the cost is yourself.
Once you get yourself back however - and that’s ambiguous because the trick to reclaiming command of the vehicle lies in learning to operate it from the back of you rather than the front - you’re able to cognitively determine the degree of stress occurring at any time and be in full command of reducing it to minimum, optimum, levels in order not to turn to blancmange for having too little, or to burn yourself out with adrenal fatigue by having too much.
There are actually as many common stress triggers as there are people and situations, but feeling trapped and unable to speak your mind or being able to say no, feeling trapped by debt or financial obligation, feeling trapped or diminished by obligations to follow someone else’s routine or agenda, feeling rushed, feeling overloaded and saturated with information and details to be sorted, feeling constantly on duty and electronically available, feeling angry and resentful and feeling unable to convey your displeasure for fear of reprisal or abandonment, feeling silenced, and then there’s the secondary but equal stress arising from the self-destruct patterns you adopt to mask or avoid the original stress.
There is a common thread, however, no matter the form of external trigger.
It all boils down to pace and direction.
Stress results from not being in control of your own pace and direction.
A healthy animal in the wild is so in charge of its own pace and direction it doesn’t even think about it.
Whenever we sacrifice either pace or direction or both, albeit in what started out as a good cause, we feel stress, because we’re pushing or pulling against our natural flow. And we’re going against our very real, visceral relationship with the universe around us, whence comes all our intuition to turn left or to turn right (without a smartphone or satnav to tell us which).
This is the Tao, and when we turn our back on that we’re instantly bereft of chi, the power of life.
Stuck in a dead-end relationship, afraid to get out, your pace is hampered and your direction challenged.
Feeling financially hampered - that’s affecting both your pace and direction.
Feeling rushed - that’s pace, obviously.
Feeling overloaded and can’t cope - that’s pace.
If you can reclaim full command over your own pace and your own direction and get that back, you also have your back-back, and be finally fully in command of the vehicle and the levels of stress running through it at any given moment.
Much more on this this week, because it’s important.
To follow: an E.A.S.E (enjoy alleviating stress effectively) mini-process to give you a foretaste of the benefits of the Taoist method.
Meanwhile let’s converse because it’s important - leave me your thoughts on the above in a comment below.
There is an evolutionary quantum jump occurring in your life, which because it hasn’t quite completed itself yet, is still invisible so might as well not be happening as far as others are concerned, however you know it’s going on, even though you
