The ancient Taoists believed (and proved) that the way to make the biggest gains in life, was to continually invest in loss. To the Western mind, this immediately seems idiotic. However, this depends on what you’re investing in losing. If you invest in losing that

As you glide along like water, every now and then, others will inadvertently or sometimes even advertently get in your way, on account of agendas of their own, causing you, if clued in, to divert and flow around or over the obstacle, just like water.
However, when defaulting to the non-clued-in state, as we all do from time to time, on account of misguidedly falling prey to momentary lapses into the realms of vanity and self-importance, the tendency is to take their obstacle-making actions personally. In fact everyone is living out their process as best as they can, each according to his or her current stage of personal evolution – you just happen to be in the way of that momentarily.
So let yourself be the one in the way and stop being in the way by yielding like water, while continuing in your forward momentum, swerving a bit to left or right or flowing right over the top, or even underneath if an opening permits so to speak.
You can only do this when divested of all illusory notions of self-importance and so carry your spirit lightly – and you can only do that when coming from a place of power within, itself arising from breathing properly and holding your body correctly as you go.
With that in place, it’s a simple step to remember that everyone and everything is merely the Tao throwing shapes and the Tao only wants your unbridled, untrammeled and unobstructed progress, at which all illusion of obstruction somehow seems to melt and he or she who was playing the part of someone in your way is no longer doing so.
But this obviously requires getting into the right frame of mind, especially when dealing with the more unmovable of obstructive presences, for which instructions await you in the Members’ DocBox: to join skip to http://barefootdoctorglobal.com/join-the-circle/
Meantime, I wish you a flow that carries you through fresher, more verdant, more wondrous and more magnificent pastures than you’ve ever hitherto dared to expect.
Sounds brimming with machismo doesn’t it, however to cut a swathe of power through the crowd in fact requires adopting equal amounts if not more of the opposite attitude: the yin, the accepting.
I was walking through a busy station concourse recently, from one corner to the other, to get my train. The crowd was thick: people looking at the information boards, people talking, people meeting, people saying toodlepip, people aimlessly milling and people cutting their own swathes.
I internally aligned myself. I lengthened my spine, dropped my shoulders, centered myself around my navel, drew my vantage point backwards into my midbrain, raised my breastbone to activate my thymus energy in order to elicit natural mutual sympathy with all around me, focused my intention on arriving effortlessly and enjoyably at the platform entrance with ultimate swiftness.
The most interesting moment was when a woman stepped into my path, causing me to yield going forwards in a discreet swerve without losing momentum, as this reminded me how important it is to be flexible and willing to flow round obstruction gracefully rather than to be so consumed with self-importance and blind objectivism you’d be more inclined to push people out of the way.
She added curve to my trajectory and it was this curve that lent the sensation of flight to the motion. And I glided onto the train like a supercharged feather.
And as it was happening, I was thinking about you and how I wanted to share it with you somehow – so here we are – or here we were.
I wish you a smooth flight, sublimely curved, through the day and night.

Behind the disguise of the butcher, baker and candlestick maker, is an artist, shaping their life as an evolving living art installation. For some the disguise is so well honed, it has even them fooled. But don’t you be fooled: everyone is an artist, including you.
Everyone is expressing the creative thrust of the Great Artist, the Tao. And the deal, if you wish to derive maximum value from your existence, is that you open yourself progressively more as a channel, in order for the creative thrust to pour through you more and more freely.
Remove all self-imposed constrictive patterning comprised of all those childhood and adolescent complexes and all the opacity this produces, or rather step aside from it and allow your natural radiant self to shine through unimpeded.
You don’t have to do anything differently. Having made clear the intention, all you have to do is carry on as you were and simply allow the Tao to express itself through every thought, word and deed.
The more you do, the more you’ll notice yourself thinking, communicating and behaving creatively, originally, authentically and above all, congruently.
And that will take your life up to the next frequency level.

Till then, I wish you a quantum leap in developing your installation today.
Joy arises naturally when you stop doing yourself in/down. As soon as you ease off and congratulate yourself for doing so well – well enough to have survived and probably mostly thrived so far against all the odds and still be here smiling and willing to keep engaging in the game of the everyday with all its tumbles and falls – as soon as you congratulate yourself for this immense accomplishment, dear Member, you
Remind yourself that despite the relative chaos it could cause, you are actually free to walk away from all this.
Knowing this restores your personal power by reaffirming that you’re here by choice and not because you have to be. You are choosing your own reality and while there may currently be aspects of it that irk or stress you, you have the power to alter conditions by seeing, hence choosing them differently.
Then remind yourself that Mondays are essentially an illusion, not a fact. Time cannot really be carved up into increments like that. Days of the week, along with all the local everyday systems we have in place are actually merely illusory, when seen in the light of eternity. It’s all just passing show.
In other words, it’s all just a big game of make-believe. But just because it’s a game doesn’t mean you don’t have to honor it. Honoring it, however, doesn’t mean buying into it, it means showering it with compassion and doing everything you possibly can to make it sparkle and glow with the light of consciousness for the highest good of everyone and everything (the Tao).
And from that vastly zoomed out view, come back into the more localized everyday state and remind yourself finally, that no matter what day of the week it is, this is a crucial part of your life, without which you’d fall in the gap between days and vanish forever – and as a crucial part of your life, which after all is the greatest miracle you’ll ever experience or know in this universe, it warrants full celebration.
I wish you a fully celebrated Monday, in which you are blessed with the vision, clarity, focus and sensitivity to enjoy every moment maximally and in your enjoyment achieve an implausibly enormous amount.

I’m sure there was a time when someone or other said in a critical manner you were being selfish and it stopped you in your tracks, momentarily dislodging you from your natural energy flow. However it’s quite probable that had that communication been made in a positive light, more respectfully, by way of request for you to exercise more thoughtfulness in future, your confidence would have been left intact and this might have stood you in better stead.
So I propose a moment of healing that former self from its dislodged state, in order to set you up more optimally for the next phase of your life.
Because to be imbued with the personal power to manifest everything your heart desires in this world, it’s prerequisite for you to learn to be fully referenced at all times to what your self is and needs – you need, in other words, to be self-full.
This is achieved by remaining attuned to your breathing and generally attending to remaining relaxed in your skin, heart open, exuding love naturally, and you centered and grounded as you wend your way along the Great Thoroughfare.
And it by no means suggests being thoughtless. To the contrary, it encourages a natural respect, empathy and compassion for others, along with an automatic propensity to alleviate suffering and induce joy wherever you do roam.
So today and through the weekend, I wish you to experience the divine pleasure of total self-fullness.
