It comes up with regularity this one and good that it’s so. It augurs a week ahead during which

When the Tao had a thought it manifested as the universe. The power of the Tao’s thought was made manifest by kinetic force or chi, an energy so powerful it is able to cause entire galaxies to collide. This chi is available to channel within your own body. Developing mastery of chi is at the heart of all Taoist practice. Channelling the kinetic force of the cosmos you are able to bring things into manifestation using the same process of though-intention as the Tao when it creates universes.
Take a moment to imagine a small hole in the centre of your forehead between your eyebrows. Imagine you’re breathing directly in and out through the hole. After a few breaths you’ll be feeling a pleasant tingling in your forehead. Now visualize a hole at the base of your skull in the centre and imagine breathing inn and out through that. Likewise, after a few breaths you’ll feel a tingling there too. Now breathe in through the forehead and out through the back of the head.
Keep breathing and notice the chi streaming out the back of your head moving over the top of your head and filling up in an invisible bowl in front of your face.
Now visualize what you want to manifest as if it’s already in existence and project that image into the chi in the bowl in front of your face so that it’s totally immersed.
Now use your imagination to shape that chi with the image inside into a tightly compressed spherical shape. Take a deep breath in through the forehead as it were and as you breathe out through the base of the skull, and the chi moves over the top of your head and into the space in front of your face, imagine yourself blowing the sphere out of the bowl and off into infinity until all that remains of it is a tiny pinprick of light in the distance and carry on as you were. Depending on how big a thing you want to manifest, the process of it starting to come into existence will be discernable anywhere from 3 to 90 days hence.
There are many other Taoist ‘magic’ tricks you can play using the chi, breath and intention – this is just one but it’s a good one so I hope it serves you well. If you like it there’s an even more powerful one in the Members’ Wisdom Drop.
Weekend wish: life surprises you with a run of things you’ve wanted for ages suddenly springing int existence before your very eyes.
This isn’t the place to go into how to channel chi to use for specific boxing moves in the tai chi style as that requires training, but it is the place for showing you how to generate an all-terrain, all-purpose protective shield to prevent all harmful external influences, whether
The Taoists developed a slew of martial arts based on channelling chi, the kinetic power of the universe, through your body’s energy passageways, the most well-known of which are tai chi, hsing i, and pa kua. These all rely on softening your muscles and sinews and relaxing your body, maintaining a fully expanded, lengthened and broadened skeletal frame, while breathing slowly and freely, and using the mind to direct the breath, which in turn shunts the chi in the direction you wish it to go and as any martial artist will tell you, a punch or kick packed with chi has at least ten times the impact of one delivered solely from muscular force.
However, though everyone would benefit immeasurably from martial arts training and the whole world would be a lot more peaceful as a result, you don’t actually need to train in martial arts to be able to effectively channel and use chi for self-defence.
Merely using the mind and breath you can generate a powerful, effective protective force field around you. It takes practice to make it strong but does start working immediately and it goes like this.
Imagine a hole in your navel. Imagine you’re breathing in and out through that hole. After a few breaths if your pay attention, you’ll notice a pleasant energy stirring occurring there.
Now imagine a hole in your lower back at the level of your navel, between the vertebrae of your spine and imagine you’re breathing in and out directly through that.
After a few breaths you’ll feel the tingling there too.
Now breathe in through the navel and out through the back.
As you breathe out, visualize the breath streaming out of your back like a brilliant white light, spreading up over your head, down the front and all the way round until your entire body, mind and soul is enveloped in this brilliant white light.
Keep breathing and you’ll feel your whole body tingling with chi.
Activate this every day before leaving home and a few times during the day at various key points – arriving at work, leaving work, arriving back home and so on.
This will serve as an energy buffer to allay all harmful energy and those with harmful intent.
In the Members’ Wisdom Drop, I’ll show you how to amplify this to extraordinary levels and how to use it to protect others and those you love.
Wish: that you feel safe from all harm and in the resulting sense of relaxation and peace, achieve enormous amounts.
Intrinsic to all Taoist practice is the development of chi. Chi is the motion of the universe channelled through the energy passageways or meridians of your body. The Milky Way, the galaxy in which our solar system has hitched a ride, is moving through space at approximately 1.5 million miles an hour. Light is moving at 186,000 miles a second. Imagine that much power moving through your body. Once the flow is activated within, you are able to use it effectively to produce a force field of protective energy around yourself and even to project that field around anyone you wish to protect by thought alone. You are also able to use it to heal yourself with, or to project it via thought or touch to heal others. And you can even use it to do so-called magic with. When you have an intention to manifest something in the world and you support that intention with chi, you accelerate and intensify the manifesting process. And when the chi is flowing through your passageways, it makes you feel damn good – better than any drug or alcohol can.
Chi is the essence of kinetic energy.
Until you focus on it, it remains in the latent state. As soon as you do focus on it, you activate it. It’s the same as the electricity flowing through the cables embedded in the walls of your house. Until you turn on the switch you don’t even know it’s there. But turn on the switch and the whole house lights up.
Concentrate on the centre of your right palm for a moment. Imagine a hole there. Imagine you’re breathing in and out through that hole. After a few breaths you feel the tingling sensation of chi being activated.
Now imagine another hole in the centre of your breastbone. Imagine yourself breathing in and out through that.
Once you feel the tingle, imagine you’re breathing in through the hole in your chest and then breathing out through the hole in your right palm.
You’ll notice a sensation of flow down your right arm and your right palm beginning to warm up and take on a pleasantly heavy feeling.
In the Members’ Wisdom Drop today, I’ll show you how to use that for practical purposes.
For now however, raise your right palm in a gesture of blessing the world around you and transmit the chi as a gift to everyone.
Blessings will come back your way as reward.
More about chi and its miraculous power tomorrow.
Wish: by this simple move you elicit no less than 108 blessings upon your head this very day.
Loving what is rather than bemoaning what isn’t is the first step to getting what isn’t to be what is. So rather than listing all the things pissing you off about life, take a moment to briefly list all the things that make your life both possible and beautiful. For instance, there’s your body, your consciousness, your ability to communicate, the people in your life at all levels and distances, the resources you have that have enabled you to still be here on the planet reading this, your humour, your drive, your curiosity, your strength, your talents and of course the unlikely, implausible yet fact of having a life-supporting planet upon whose surface you’re able to thrive in the midst of the chaos of deepest darkest space.
Note that as you start going into the list, your spirit lifts and all heaviness associated with the fear of things working against you dissolves.
With a lighter spirit, it’s easier to visualize the outcomes you wish to achieve today with a clear mind and focus.
Once you can see what you wish to achieve today, and once you can see yourself achieving it easily, effortlessly, excellently and enjoyably, you set that manifestation process in motion and one way or another, the Tao, that invisible yet ubiquitous generative force informing everything from the tip of your little finger to the largest galaxy in the universe, will shunt external conditions into optimal position to facilitate you getting the outcome you want.
Merry Monday wish: the Tao stuns you today with the elegance with which it shunts what is to produce the perfect result for you on all levels.
